Eightfold Path Program with Mentoring 2017-8
Note: the mentor slots are full at this time. You are welcome to attend the monthly public sessions. If you submit this form, we will put you on the email list for the course materials and will let you know some time after the Introductory Meeting (probably not until after October 1) whether we are able to offer you a mentor this year. It's looking very unlikely at this point.
This form is an application to be assigned a mentor for IMC's Eightfold Path Program to run from Sept. 2017 through June 2018. You and your mentor will have 8 monthly meetings to discuss your practice of each of the factors of the Eightfold Path. The program also includes monthly Sunday afternoon group meetings, readings, recorded talks and emailed instructions for working with each factor. It ends with a daylong retreat at IRC (our retreat center in Scott's Valley).
The mentor meetings will be held either in person or by Skype or phone depending on location and the mentor's availability.
Note: Three other groups in the area (Santa Cruz, Modesto and Santa Barbara) may host their own local schedule of monthly group meetings and share in the pool of IMC mentors. This is the form to apply for an assigned mentor for all of these groups.
A prerequisite for this program is having taken a (typically 4 to 6 week) Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation such as those offered through IMC, ISC, MBSR or equivalent elsewhere.
Applications are due by Sept. 15, 2017.

Depending on how many people apply, there may be a mixture of individual mentors and small groups of 3-4 meeting together with a mentor. The course can be a rich experience either way.
I only want to enroll if I can have an individual mentor.
I would prefer being assigned an individual mentor but am also willing to be in a small group.
